NOTICE OF ELECTIONS
In adherence to the By-Law 6.4.2 of Southampton Solent University Students’ Union, I hereby announce the notice for the By-Elections of Volunteer Students Officer and Department Representative roles for the academic year 2024/2025.
This notice contains the following information:
1. Positions in which applications are invited for:
Vacant Volunteer Student Officer Positions:
ABMO Students’ Officer
LGBT+ Students’ Officer
Trans Students’ Officer
Warsash Community Officer
Womens’ Officer
Chair of Student Council
Department Representatives Positions:
Department Rep for Art and Media
Department Rep for Science and Engineering
Department Rep for Sport and Health
Department Rep for Film and Media
Department Rep for Business and Law
Department Rep for Social Science and Nursing
2. Key Election Dates
Application Period: 16th September (10am) - 18th October (12pm)
Campaigning Period: 28th October (10am) - 1st November (3pm)
Voting Period: 28th October (10am) - 1st November (3pm)
3. Details of who is eligible to nominate and vote:
All full Members (as per By-Law 1.1.1) of Solent Students’ Union are eligible to participate in elections and referendums. Associate Members (as per By-Law 1.1.2), Reciprocal Members (as per By-Law 1.1.3) and students who have opted out of Students’ Union membership cannot participate in any democratic processes of the Students’ Union or election.
