A student from Southampton Solent University has been won a national competition to be the face of luxury student accommodation provider Unilife. Matthew Li, a second year Marketing and Advertising Management student at Solent impressed the judges and received a huge number of votes for his entry.

Launched towards the end of 2013 the Face of Unilife competition was set-up to help the accommodation provider find genuine students, passionate about the university experience who could represent the brand.

Luke Crocker, House Manager from Unilife commented: “The inspiration behind our Face of Unilife campaign was to find and connect with students who have passion for university. We wanted to find students who could really conjure up what university life is all about to represent the brand and appear in our marketing materials. We weren’t looking for super models, just real life students with something to say about being a student in the UK. We we’re really impressed by everyone who entered, it was very close but Matthew had an overwhelming number of votes and really stood out to us.”

As the Face of Unilife, Matthew will go on to feature in Unilife’s new marketing materials. He also came away with some top prizes including a VIP makeover and photo-shoot at Rob Paul Studios in Havant, tickets to the Mayflower Theatre and dinner for two at the Orange Rooms in Southampton.

Unilife provides high-end student accommodation, with four locations across Portsmouth and Southampton and plans to expand in the coming years. Specialising in boutique student accommodation, Unilife properties all boast fabulous central locations and all the modern essentials a student could want including unlimited high-speed Wi-Fi, en suite, excellent storage facilities, 24hr security monitoring and much more.
